Confession of Faith

A Word Before You Read

At Springs of Life Liberation Ministries, our faith is not founded upon personal experience, ministry tradition, or human opinion. It is founded upon the unchanging truth of God's Word and centered upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

This Confession of Faith is not offered as a declaration that we possess all knowledge, but as a humble confession of the biblical convictions that guide our teaching, our ministry, and our lives. We joyfully confess these truths because we believe they have been revealed by God through the Holy Scriptures and fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

We recognize that sincere followers of Jesus Christ may differ on certain secondary matters of doctrine. Yet we are united in the essentials of the Christian faith and are committed to handling the Scriptures with humility, prayer, and a sincere desire to rightly understand and faithfully apply God's Word.

We encourage every reader to follow the example of the Bereans, who "received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so" (Acts 17:11). We invite you to search the Scriptures for yourself and allow God's Word to be your final authority.

Our prayer is that as you read these pages, you will not merely learn what we believe, but that you will be drawn into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ—to abide in Him, to know His truth, to walk in His freedom, and to experience the abundant life He came to give.

Above all, may Jesus Christ be exalted, His Word faithfully proclaimed, and His name alone receive all glory.

I. We Confess the Holy Scriptures

Every confession is a spring that flows from the living Word of God and leads us to the Living Word, Jesus Christ.

Scripture Primary References: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11; Psalm 119:105, 160; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17–18; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God. Through the Holy Spirit, God has revealed Himself in the Scriptures so that we may know His character, His will, His redemptive plan, and above all, His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Because the Scriptures are God-breathed, they are our final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Every teaching, ministry practice, personal conviction, and spiritual experience must be tested by and submitted to the truth of God's Word.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Scriptures bear witness to Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are committed to reading, teaching, and applying God's Word in a way that faithfully reflects its message and continually exalts Him.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because God has spoken, we are not guided by human wisdom or experience alone, but by His unchanging Word. As we abide in the truth of Scripture, the Holy Spirit renews our minds, strengthens our faith, and conforms us to the image of Christ. Therefore, we gladly submit ourselves and this ministry to the authority of God's Word, believing that it faithfully leads us to Jesus Christ, who is the Truth and the source of true freedom and abundant life.

Our Response

Because God has spoken, we desire to become people of His Word. We commit ourselves to reading the Scriptures with humility, obeying them with faith, and allowing them to shape every area of our lives. As we abide in His truth, we trust that the Holy Spirit will continually reveal the beauty of Jesus Christ and transform us into His likeness.

We invite you to open God's Word, seek the Lord with your whole heart, and discover for yourself the truth that leads to life in Jesus Christ.

II. We Confess the One True and Living God

Scripture Primary References: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5–6; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3; John 10:30; John 14:16–17, 26; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, equal in glory, and united in purpose, yet distinct in personhood.

God alone is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, righteous, just, loving, merciful, faithful, all-powerful, all-knowing, and unchanging. He alone is worthy of our worship, our trust, and our wholehearted obedience.

From eternity to eternity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit work in perfect unity to accomplish God's gracious plan of redemption, revealing His glory and drawing people to Himself.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because there is one true and living God, our lives have both purpose and direction. We were created to know Him, worship Him, and live for His glory.

Every aspect of this ministry is devoted to the worship of the Triune God. We seek to honor the Father, proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ, and depend upon the Holy Spirit, recognizing that all true life, freedom, and transformation begin and end with God Himself.

Our Response

Because there is one true and living God, we desire to worship Him with our whole hearts and glorify Him in every part of our lives. We seek to know the Father, follow the Son, and walk in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, finding our joy in His presence and our purpose in His will.

We invite you to draw near to the living God through Jesus Christ and discover the life, hope, and peace that are found in knowing Him.

III. We Confess the Lord Jesus Christ

Scripture Primary References: John 1:1–18; John 14:6; Colossians 1:15–20; Philippians 2:5–11; Hebrews 1:1–4; 1 Timothy 2:5–6; Acts 4:12.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, perfectly revealing the Father in both His words and His works.

We confess that through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus Christ accomplished the once-for-all atonement for sin. By His bodily resurrection, He triumphed over sin, death, and the powers of darkness. He ascended to the Father, where He now reigns as Lord, intercedes for His people, and will one day return in glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His everlasting kingdom.

We confess that Jesus Christ alone is Savior and Lord. There is no other name by which we must be saved, for He alone reconciles sinners to God. He is the Head of His Church, the Good Shepherd of His people, and the only perfect mediator between God and humanity.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because Jesus Christ is Lord, our faith rests not in ourselves, our works, our experiences, or even the blessings we receive, but in His finished work and His living presence.

We do not seek merely the gifts of Christ—we seek Christ Himself. As we abide in Him, we discover that forgiveness, freedom, healing, peace, hope, and abundant life are not ends in themselves, but gracious expressions of life in Him. Every work of God is intended to draw us into deeper fellowship with the One who loved us, gave Himself for us, and now lives within us.

Therefore, every ministry of Springs of Life Liberation Ministries exists for one purpose: to faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ, invite people to abide in Him, and encourage them to live in the freedom He has accomplished through His death and resurrection.

Our Response

Because Jesus Christ is Lord, we gladly surrender our lives to Him. We desire to abide in His love, walk in His truth, and faithfully follow Him wherever He leads. Our greatest joy is not merely to receive His gifts, but to know Him, love Him, and become more like Him.

We invite you to come to Jesus Christ, place your trust in Him, abide in Him, and experience the freedom, forgiveness, and abundant life that He alone can give.

IV. We Confess the Holy Spirit

Scripture Primary References: John 14:16–17, 26; John 15:26; John 16:7–15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9–16, 26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; Galatians 5:16–25; Ephesians 1:13–14.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Triune God, fully God, eternal, and equal with the Father and the Son. He was sent by the Father and the Son to glorify Jesus Christ, apply His finished work to the lives of believers, and accomplish God's purposes in the world.

We confess that the Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He brings new life through the new birth, indwells every believer, seals us as God's own possession, and faithfully sanctifies us as we grow in the likeness of Christ.

The Holy Spirit illuminates the Scriptures, equips believers for service, produces His fruit within us, and empowers us to live as faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ. We therefore seek to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, joyfully submitting to His leading as He continually points us to our Savior.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, we are never left to follow Christ in our own strength. He teaches us through God's Word, convicts us with love, comforts us in our trials, strengthens us in our weakness, and faithfully conforms us to the image of Jesus Christ.

We do not seek the Holy Spirit apart from Jesus Christ, nor do we seek spiritual experiences as an end in themselves. We welcome the work of the Holy Spirit because His ministry is always to glorify Christ, deepen our fellowship with Him, and lead us into joyful obedience to God's Word.

Our Response

Because the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, we desire to walk each day in humble dependence upon Him rather than in our own strength. We welcome His work of illuminating the Scriptures, convicting us of sin, producing His fruit within us, and transforming us into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

We seek not merely spiritual experiences, but a deeper relationship with our Lord. As we abide in Christ, we trust the Holy Spirit to faithfully guide us into God's truth, strengthen us to obey His Word, and empower us to live as faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ in every area of life.

We invite you to yield your heart to the Holy Spirit, open yourself to His transforming work through God's Word, and discover the joy of abiding in Jesus Christ. As the Holy Spirit glorifies the Son, may your life increasingly reflect His character, His love, and His truth—for the glory of the Father.

V. We Confess Humanity and the Image of God

Scripture Primary References: Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 2:7; Psalm 8:3–8; Psalm 139:13–16; Acts 17:24–28; Colossians 3:9–10; James 3:9–10.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that God created humanity in His own image, both male and female, with dignity, purpose, and the capacity to know, love, worship, and enjoy fellowship with Him. Every human life is a sacred gift from God and possesses immeasurable value because every person bears His image.

We confess that humanity was created to live in loving relationship with God, steward His creation, and reflect His character in the world. Our true identity is not found in our achievements, failures, possessions, or experiences, but in God's design and His purpose for our lives.

Though the image of God in humanity has been marred by sin, it has not been erased. God continues to pursue people with His redeeming love, calling them to Himself through Jesus Christ and restoring them by His grace.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because every person bears the image of God, we seek to treat every individual with compassion, dignity, humility, and respect. No one is beyond God's love, beyond His mercy, or beyond the transforming power of the gospel.

We also recognize that our deepest need is not to redefine ourselves, but to be restored to the One who created us. Lasting freedom is found not in discovering our own truth, but in knowing the truth revealed by God through Jesus Christ.

Our Response

Because God created us for fellowship with Himself, we desire to live as people whose identity is rooted in Christ rather than in the shifting voices of the world. We seek to honor God with our lives, love our neighbors as those who bear His image, and walk in the hope of His restoring grace.

We invite you to see yourself through the eyes of your Creator, to discover your true identity in Jesus Christ, and to experience the transforming love of the One who created you, redeemed you, and calls you into fellowship with Himself.

VI. We Confess Humanity's Fall and Our Need for Redemption

Scripture Primary References: Genesis 3:1–24; Psalm 51:5; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:10–26; Romans 5:12–21; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:1–10;

1 John 1:8–9.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that God created humanity good and for fellowship with Himself. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world, bringing spiritual death, separation from God, and the corruption of His good creation.

We confess that all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Left to ourselves, we cannot overcome sin, restore our relationship with God, or save ourselves by our own efforts. Our deepest need is not self-improvement, but redemption through Jesus Christ.

Sin affects every part of human life, distorting our thoughts, desires, relationships, and understanding of God. Yet even in humanity's rebellion, God has never ceased pursuing His people with mercy, calling them to repentance and offering forgiveness through His Son.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because all have sinned, every person stands in need of God's grace. None of us approaches God on the basis of our own righteousness, but solely because of His mercy revealed in Jesus Christ.

We also recognize that many struggles people face are rooted in the brokenness brought about by sin in a fallen world. Yet we refuse to define anyone by their sin, their wounds, their failures, or their past. In Christ there is forgiveness, restoration, and the hope of a new beginning.

Our Response

Because God has shown us such great mercy, we desire to walk in humility, repentance, and grateful dependence upon His grace. We seek to confess our sins honestly, receive His forgiveness with thankful hearts, and extend the same grace and compassion to others that He has shown to us.

We invite you to bring every burden, every failure, and every hidden place of your heart to Jesus Christ. His grace is greater than our sin, His mercy is deeper than our shame, and His invitation remains the same: come to Him, receive His forgiveness, and begin walking in the new life He freely gives.

VII. We Confess Salvation by Grace Through Faith in Jesus Christ

Scripture Primary References:John 3:16–18; John 5:24; Romans 3:21–26; Romans 5:1–11; Romans 10:9–13; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:3–7; 2 Corinthians 5:17–21; 1 Peter 1:3–5.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that salvation is the gracious gift of God, accomplished entirely through the life, death, burial, and bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by human effort, religious works, or personal merit, but is received by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We confess that through repentance and faith, those who trust in Christ are forgiven of their sins, reconciled to God, justified, adopted into His family, and made new creations in Christ. By His grace, we are no longer condemned but are welcomed into a restored relationship with our heavenly Father.

Salvation is both the beginning of new life and the doorway into a lifelong journey of abiding in Christ. The same grace that saves us also transforms us, teaching us to walk in joyful obedience and growing us into the likeness of our Savior.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because salvation is God's gift, we live with humility, gratitude, and confident hope. Our assurance rests not in our performance but in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the faithfulness of God's promises.

We also recognize that the Christian life is not merely about escaping judgment but about entering into a living relationship with God through His Son. In Christ we receive not only forgiveness, but a new identity, a new purpose, and the hope of eternal life.

Our Response

Because God has shown us such amazing grace, we desire to live each day in thankful dependence upon Jesus Christ. We seek to abide in Him, grow in His Word, walk in repentance, and joyfully share the good news of His salvation with others.

We invite you to place your trust in Jesus Christ alone. If you have never received His gift of salvation, He graciously calls you to come to Him in repentance and faith. In Him you will find forgiveness for your sins, peace with God, a new life that begins today, and the unshakable hope of eternity in His presence.

VIII. We Confess the Church

Scripture Primary References: Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; Romans 12:3–8; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 2:19–22; Ephesians 4:11–16; Hebrews 10:24–25; 1 Peter 2:9–10.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church. Through His saving work, God is gathering to Himself a people from every nation, tribe, language, and people who have been redeemed by His grace and united together through faith in Christ.

We confess that the Church is not merely an organization but the living Body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, encourage one another, and demonstrate His love to the world.

Every believer has been graciously gifted by the Holy Spirit for the building up of the Body. As we walk together in humility, love, and truth, we grow toward spiritual maturity and increasingly reflect the character of Jesus Christ.

What Difference Does This Make?

The Christian life was never intended to be lived in isolation.

God has designed His people to grow together through worship, prayer, fellowship, the teaching of His Word, mutual encouragement, and loving accountability.

For this reason, we encourage every believer to become actively involved in a Bible-believing, Christ-centered local church where Jesus Christ is faithfully proclaimed, Scripture is honored, and disciples are equipped to follow Him.

We recognize that no ministry can replace the life of the local church. Rather, every faithful ministry should strengthen believers in their love for Christ and encourage them to become active participants in the Body He has established.

Our Response

Because Christ has welcomed us into His family, we desire to love, serve, encourage, forgive, and pray for one another. We seek to use the gifts God has entrusted to us for the good of His people and the glory of His name.

We invite you to become deeply rooted in the Body of Christ. Worship with His people. Learn from His Word. Encourage one another in love. Serve faithfully with the gifts He has given you. As we abide together in Christ, the Church becomes a living testimony to His grace, His truth, and His redeeming love.

IX. We Confess the Life of a Disciple

Scripture Primary References: John 8:31–32; John 15:1–17; Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 2:20; Galatians 5:16–25; Colossians 2:6–7; Colossians 3:1–17; Philippians 3:7–14.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that every believer is called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Salvation is not the end of God's work in us but the beginning of a lifelong journey of knowing Christ, abiding in Him, and being transformed into His likeness.

We confess that the Christian life is lived in daily dependence upon the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. As we remain in His Word, devote ourselves to prayer, worship God, walk in obedience, and fellowship with His people, He faithfully renews our minds, shapes our character, and produces His fruit within us.

We believe that true spiritual maturity is not measured by knowledge alone or by spiritual experiences, but by a life increasingly marked by humility, holiness, love, obedience, and the character of Christ.

What Difference Does This Make?

Discipleship is not simply something we do; it is the way we live.

Because our identity is found in Christ, we are free to follow Him with confidence, knowing that He is continually at work within us. As we abide in Him day by day, His truth exposes every lie, His grace strengthens our hearts, and His Spirit teaches us to walk in the freedom He has already secured for us.

We understand that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. Though we are not yet perfected, we trust that the One who began His good work in us will faithfully continue it until the day we stand complete in His presence.

Our Response

Because Jesus Christ has graciously called us to follow Him, we desire to abide in Him every day. We seek to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; to love our neighbors as ourselves; to walk in repentance and faith; to serve others with humility; and to faithfully reflect His light in a world that longs for hope.

We believe that freedom is not merely freedom from bondage, but the joyful freedom to know Christ, obey Christ, worship Christ, and become increasingly like Christ through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

We invite you to become more than a believer who knows about Jesus. Come and abide in Him. Let His Word dwell richly within you. Walk daily with His Spirit. Discover your identity in Him. Let Jesus Christ become your life, your joy, and your continual pursuit. As you remain in Him, you will find that lasting freedom is not found in striving, but in faithfully walking with the One who loves you and has called you His own.

X. We Confess the Ministry of Deliverance in Christ

Scripture Primary References: Isaiah 61:1–3; Luke 4:18–21; John 8:31–36; Acts 10:38; Colossians 1:13–14; Colossians 2:13–15; James 4:7–8;

1 Peter 5:8–9.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that Jesus Christ is the victorious Lord who has conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness through His death, burial, and resurrection. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him, and in Him alone we find forgiveness, redemption, liberty, and everlasting life.

We confess that the ministry of deliverance is the gracious work of God through which He brings His people into a deeper experience of the liberty that Christ has secured for them. Whether through the faithful preaching of God's Word, repentance, prayer, the renewing of the mind, pastoral care, or specific times of ministry including the casting out of unclean spirits, the Lord lovingly removes hindrances that seek to keep His people from walking in wholehearted fellowship with Him.

We believe that biblical ministry is never centered on darkness but on the triumph of Jesus Christ. Our confidence rests entirely in His finished work, the authority of His Word, and the faithful ministry of the Holy Spirit. We reject fear, sensationalism, and every practice that draws attention away from Christ.

What Difference Does This Make?

Because Jesus Christ has overcome the powers of darkness, believers do not live in fear. We live in confident dependence upon our victorious Savior.

When struggles arise, we are invited to draw near to God, stand firm in His truth, resist the enemy through faith, and continue abiding in Christ. As His truth renews our minds and His Spirit strengthens our hearts, we increasingly walk in the freedom that He has graciously given.

We understand that freedom is not measured by dramatic experiences but by a life that is increasingly surrendered to Jesus Christ and transformed into His likeness.

Our Response

Because Christ has set us free, we desire to remain near to Him each day. We choose to fill our hearts with His Word, walk in obedience to His Spirit, resist every lie with His truth, and encourage one another to remain steadfast in faith.

We refuse to place our confidence in methods, personalities, or experiences. Our confidence rests in Jesus Christ alone, who faithfully completes the work He begins in His people.

We invite you to come to Jesus Christ, the One who ministers true freedom. If you are burdened, weary, or longing to walk more closely with Him, draw near to the Savior. As you abide in His presence, trust His Word, and follow His leading, may you increasingly discover the liberty, peace, and abundant life that He alone can give.

XI. We Confess the Return of Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Hope

Scripture Primary References: John 14:1–3; Acts 1:9–11; Philippians 3:20–21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Titus 2:11–14; 1 John 3:2–3; Revelation 21:1–5; Revelation 22:20.

Our Confession

We joyfully confess that the Lord Jesus Christ will return in glory, just as He promised. His return is the blessed hope of every believer and the glorious fulfillment of God's redemptive plan.

We confess that history is moving toward the day when Christ will make all things new. Every sorrow will give way to joy, every tear will be wiped away, and all who belong to Him will dwell forever in His presence. Sin, death, and every work of darkness will be forever defeated, and the kingdom of our Lord will be revealed in its fullness.

Until that day, we live with confident hope, trusting the faithfulness of God and eagerly awaiting the appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What Difference Does This Make?

Our hope is not rooted in the changing circumstances of this world but in the unchanging promises of God.

Because Christ is coming again, we seek to live each day with faithfulness, perseverance, and joyful expectation. His promised return strengthens us in trials, encourages us in seasons of waiting, and reminds us that our present struggles are not the end of the story.

As we abide in Christ today, we look forward to the day when we shall see Him face to face and be made completely like Him.

Our Response

Because our hope is in Jesus Christ, we desire to live each day in a manner worthy of His calling. We seek to love Him wholeheartedly, serve Him faithfully, proclaim His gospel boldly, and encourage one another until He comes.

With grateful hearts, we fix our eyes upon Christ, knowing that every promise He has made is true and that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.

We invite you to place your hope completely in Jesus Christ. Whatever season of life you are walking through, remember that He is faithful. Abide in Him today, trust Him tomorrow, and look with joyful anticipation to the day when faith will become sight and we will forever dwell in the presence of our Savior and King. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
