Throughout the Gospels and the book of Acts, we see Jesus and His disciples ministering in the authority of His name. They proclaimed the gospel, prayed for the sick, called people to repentance, made disciples, and, when appropriate, commanded unclean spirits to leave those they were oppressing.
We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. As we seek to follow His example and remain submitted to His Word, there may be times during a ministry session when prayer includes addressing spiritual oppression in the authority of Jesus Christ.
This is never done to create an experience or draw attention to darkness. Our confidence rests entirely in the victory of Jesus Christ, who has conquered the powers of darkness through His death and resurrection. We do not seek manifestations; we seek the presence of Christ and the freedom He alone gives.
Not every ministry session includes this aspect of ministry, because every person and every situation is unique. We follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, seeking to minister with humility, discernment, and unwavering confidence in the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We recognize that many people have questions about spiritual warfare and the ministry of freedom.
Some have had difficult or confusing experiences, while others may feel uncertain about what to expect.
Our confidence is never placed in fear, formulas, or human ability.
Our confidence rests entirely in the Lord Jesus Christ, who has all authority in heaven and on earth.
When we minister, we do so prayerfully, humbly, and in complete dependence upon Him. We do not glorify darkness, nor do we seek dramatic manifestations. We seek to exalt Jesus Christ, proclaim His truth, and lovingly minister in His name.
Because Christ has already won the victory through His death and resurrection, we minister from His victory—not in an attempt to earn it.
We believe His authority is greater than every power of darkness, and His perfect love drives out fear.
Where Jesus Christ is exalted, His truth is proclaimed, and His Spirit is at work, there is every reason for hope and every reason to trust Him.
